About

Hi I’m Daniel, a West Midlands based composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist with a wealth of musical experience in performance, production, orchestration and live sound in both classical and contemporary environments. Having recently graduated from Leeds Conservatoire with a first-class honours degree in Film Music Composition, I aim to achieve a high standard of excellence across every project I take on.

Background

I began learning music at young age with parents heavily involved in music and music teaching, achieving many qualifications and picking up experience performing in a variety of scenarios from smaller bands to large jazz ensembles. Since studying and performing music at secondary school, I discovered a passion for composing and music for media and realised that this was something I wanted to pursue as a career.

Having a strong family background in every form of the arts from acting and music of every form, with family members involved in amateur and professional arts scenes. I have a solid base in traditional western classical music, as well as more contemporary genres such as rock, funk and jazz. In combination with furthering my music production and recording skills, these experiences allow me to bring a comprehensive package. Film music requires a vast range of styles and approaches and I am able to compose and arrange for whatever genre of visual is required.
